The Ladies of Comicazi invite you to join an evening of comics and conversation.  From the beginning, comics have pushed the envelope of story-telling and brought to light many social issues long before it was popular to do so. This year, let’s talk about romance - specifically the rise and fall of romance comics. From the late 1940’s-1970’s, romance comics ruled the newsstands - then disappeared with hardly a trace. Why were they so dominant and what led to their demise? What difficult topics did they cover well - and which did they botch?

There will be a gallery showing of key issues starting at 7 pm.  At 7:30, enjoy a panel discussion with the Ladies and friends.
