Co-Sponsoring Event FAQ

The Ladies of Comicazi are happy to partner with other individuals or groups to organize inclusive community events.

Generally, what should I expect?

The Ladies pride themselves on being a community catalyst. We are always working to reach out to people and bring them together. When you do an event with us, you can expect that you will get all our best effort to make sure it’s well attended, well organized, and that people have fun. So far, we have a pretty good track record with those things.

Specifically, what will the Ladies do for me?

Lots! When you are ready to think about doing an event with us, we will likely ask you many questions so we can find out what you need and how to best support your event. Don’t worry if you don’t know the answer, we can help you think about the best way move forward. We can also offer.

  • Logistics support
  • Our social media network for promoting your event
  • Our connection with Comicazi for promotion, possible space use, and community connections to like minded-folks
  • If your event needs supplies, we can support where needed

What’s my role in this?

As co-sponsor, you are also co-lead in the event. Depending on the event, you may also be the subject matter expert.

Our baseline expectations are that you participate in the planning and execution of the event. This means you should be available for set-up, the event itself, and clean-up.

Is there a cost associated with the Ladies helping?

Yes and no. The Ladies are a non-profit organization, however there are costs associated with all events.

If your event is a paid event, we will work with you to come up with a reasonable ticket price that covers both your costs and ours. Such costs might be, supplies, promo materials, and using an online ticket vendor, for example.

What does the time commitment look like?

It will depend on your event. We can do our best to give you an estimate once we know more about what you are planning.

Are we gonna write all this down somewhere?

Sure thing! We absolutely want to be sure everyone is on the same page as we move forward with planning your event. We have an event form for you to fill out that will capture some logistics, and we will do an intake meeting with you so we can sit down, meet and talk through details, roles, and expectations. We will be sure to document this and provide a follow-up email.
