I like a lot of these picks. I haven’t read the Monstress comics yet, & when I first saw it listed in upcoming comics, I thought DC was bringing back Monstress of the Legion of Super-Heroes (she tragically died in the Legion Lost series, & Garth (Live Wire/Lightning Lad) avenged her by sacrificing himself to kill her killer (maybe).
The 2017 ones I agree with most are the new Star Trek Tv series, season 2 of The Magicians, & the Wonder Woman movie (set in World War I, 100 years ago). I happen to know Patty Jenkins & I think she’ll do a wonderful (pun intended) job with the Wonder Woman movie. It may be the first of the new DC movies that I’ll like. She wrote & directed the movie Monster which won Charlize Theron a best actress Academy Award, so she has a good history of handling female lead characters well. Patty originally approached DC about directing a Wonder Woman movie back in 2004 but then she got pregnant with Asa & decided to drop out since she didn’t want to have a baby & then be apart from him for many months making a movie.
